Gilford-----Mrs. Jean C. Cook, 75, of 2695 Lake Shore Road, died at her home on Thursday, April 17, 2003.
Mrs. Cook was born May 7, 1927 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Margaret and Frank Marino, the thirteenth child of seventeen children. She was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Massachusetts for many years. In 1964, she moved to Gilford, NH from Dorchester, MA
Mrs. Cook worked in the office at Lake Shore Park for many years. During the winters, she and her husband operated the Ski Shop at Gunstock Ski Area. She also was employed at the Eagle's Mere Country Store on Rte 11A in Gilford, NH for 15 years and was known and loved by many.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Franklin "Frank" S. Cook, Sr. of Gilford, NH; three sons, Gary F. Cook, Franklin S. Cook, Jr. and Randy H. Cook all of Gilford; 6 grandchildren; brothers, sisters and many nephews and nieces.
There will be no calling hours.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2003 at 1:00 PM at The Gilford Community Church, Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH. Rev. Michael Graham, Pastor of the church, will officiate.
Burial will be held at a later date in the family lot at Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 N. Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
