Laconia, NH-----Mrs. Mildred C. Gennaro, 87, formerly of 25 Union Avenue and 1176 Old North Main Street, died at the Genesis Eldercare Network, Laconia Center on Thursday, April 3, 2003. She was the widow of John Gennaro who died in 1983.
Mrs. Gennaro was born December 9, 1915 in Bronx, New York, the daughter of Pasquale and Marie Casabona. She was a homemaker and seamstress and lived in New Jersey for many years before moving to Laconia, NH in 1981.
Mrs. Gennaro was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Laconia, NH and attended the Laconia Senior Center.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Gennaro of Laconia, NH, and James (Jim) Gennaro of Westminster, MA; six grandchildren, John Gennaro of York, Maine, Christine Mello of Laconia, NH, Michael Gennaro of East Derry, NH, and Matthew Gennaro of Newmarket, NH; Jennifer Gennaro and Jason Gennaro both of Washington, DC; two great grandchildren, Devon Kate Mello of Laconia, NH and Hannah Mae Gennaro of York, Maine; a brother, James Casabona of Franklin Square, NY and many nephews and nieces.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2003 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH. Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the church, will officiate.
Burial will be held later in the spring in the family lot at Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Genesis Eldercare Network Laconia Center, Resident Council Fund, 175 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, NH 03246.
