Charles "Charlie" R. MacKissock

Laconia-----Charles "Charlie" R. MacKissock, 52, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, April 19, 2003 after a long illness. He was born August 26, 1950 in Laconia, the son of Lorraine (MacKissock) Zagreski.

Mr. MacKissock attended local schools and after graduating from Laconia High School in 1968, he enlisted in the Navy serving in the North Atlantic. After his discharge from the Navy, he attended New Hampshire College and received his Business Management degree. For the last thirty years, he worked as a Certified Scrub Technician in the operating room at Lakes Region General Hospital. He was an avid reader of history, and enjoyed gardening and playing golf.

Mr. MacKissock is survived by his wife of 19 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Hall) MacKissock of Laconia, NH; a son, Ryan MacKissock of Northfield, NH; his mother and stepfather, Lorraine and William Zagreski

of Laconia; four brothers, Jon Corson of Yonkers, New York, James MacKissock and Thomas MacKissock both of Laconia, Gerald MacKissock of Albany, New York and a sister, Nancy Merrill of Laconia; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

Private Burial Services, with military honors, will be held at the family lot at Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, NH.

A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Gilford Avenue, Laconia, NH on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at 4:00 PM. Rev. Victoria Wood Parrish, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, New York, NY 10163.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
