Canterbury----Theodore "Ted" Pashainick. 70, died Tuesday evening, April 22, 2003, at Genesis Mountain Ridge Nursing Home in Franklin. Born in New York City on January 9, 1933, he was the eldest son of the late Frank and Victoria Pashainick. He was predeceased by his brother, John, in 1999.
In May 1952, while a student at Buffalo State College, New York, Ted enlisted in the Air Force, eventually serving on Okinawa, and was honorably discharged in 1955. An avid reader and lifelong student, Ted graduated from Fordham University (Bronx, NY) with a B.S. in Philosophy (1965); a Master's Degree in Social Work, Fordham University, NYC (1980); and a Master's Degree in Social Work Administration from Antioch University, Keene, NH (1983). From 1980 to 1998, he was employed by the State of New Hampshire as a psychiatric social worker, first at the former Laconia State School and later at the State Hospital in Concord.
On the lighter side, Ted spent many happy hours creating beautiful paintings in Loran Percy's art class and exhibiting at the Gilford Old Home Day.
Ted leaves behind his best friend and loving wife, Terry Fellowes Pashainick, her family, and many supportive and admiring friends.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 28, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Parish, Main St., Belmont, NH. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Canterbury. A special thank you to the caring medical and nursing staff at Franklin Regional Hospital and Mountain Ridge Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer&Mac226;s Association, NH Chapter, 10 Ferry Street, Suite 427B, Concord, NH 03301.
