Andover-----William "Bill" J. Farrington, 77, of 3 Shady Lane, died at the Franklin Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 23, 2005.
Mr. Farrington was born October 17, 1927 in Arlington, MA, the son of Henry and Catherine (Maloney) Farrington. Mr. Farrington served in the U. S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Cleveland. He lived in Somerville, Massachusetts for several years before moving to Andover, NH twenty-five years ago. He was employed as an iron worker for Local 7 for fifty-five years, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Farrington was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Franklin, NH.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Farrington, of Andover, NH; four sons, William Farrington, Jr. and his wife, Karyn, of Andover, NH; Robert Farrington and his wife, Rena, of Maine; Kevin Farrington of Andover, NH and Brian Farrington and his wife, Dawn, of Maine; five grandchildren, Kerri Ann Farrington of Andover, NH; Amie Muldough of Sutton, NH; Emily Farrington, Courtney Farrington and Allison Farrington all of Maine; a sister and a brother-in-law, Nancy and Charlie Salemme, of Arlington, MA; and several nephews and nieces.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
A private burial will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
