Laconia----Mildred "Millie" E. Pickering, 68, formerly of 200 Union Road, Mallard?s Landing, Belmont, NH died at the Genesis Eldercare Network, Laconia Center on Monday, April 4, 2005. She had been in failing health since she was involved in a pedestrian/automobile accident in December, 2004. She was the widow of Ernest R. Pickering who died in 1997.
Mrs. Pickering was born January 10, 1937 in Laconia NH the daughter of the late Rudolf and Ruby (Conger) Brown. She lived in Laconia for many years before moving to Belmont, NH in 1971.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Meyerhoefer of Franklin, NH and Gwen Dow of Sanbornton, NH; four grandchildren and one great grandson.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2005 from 7:00-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11:00AM also at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Fisher of Laconia will officiate.
Burial will be in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
