Florida-----Joan P. Champagne, 61, formerly of the Lakes Region died in Bare Foot Bay, Florida on April 13, 2006.
Mrs. Champagne was born October 27, 1944 in Wakefield, MA, the daughter of Paul and Theresa (Melanson) Forti.
Mrs. Champagne lived in the Lakes Region most of her life and was employed at B-Mae Denny’s for five years before retiring January, 2006. Mrs. Champagne enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to casinos.
Survivors include two daughters, Laura Hanson, of Florida and Melissa Castro of Malden, MA; four grandchildren; a sister, Mary Sardina of Ashland, MA and three nieces and three nephews.
A Calling hour will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 2:00-3:00PM followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
