Laconia-----Marguerite “Margo” B. Potvin, 84, of 20 Kensington Drive, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA while visiting her granddaughter. She was the widow of Joseph “Pete” O. M. Potvin who died in 1999. Mrs. Potvin was born October 29, 1921 in Dover, NH, the daughter of Hector and Anna (LaPointe) Turgeon. Mrs. Potvin was raised in Dover, NH and moved to California in 1952. She moved back to the Lakes Region in 1978.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Ty Lucier, of Laconia, NH; two grandchildren, Monique Capler of Wildomar, CA and Brandon Potvin, of Taylors, SC; four great grandchildren, Ryan Potvin, Curtis Potvin, Megan Potvin and Brady Brandon; two brothers, Sonny Turgeon and Ralph Turgeon both of Florida; a sister, Germaine Grondin, of Rochester, NH and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Raymond Potvin, in 1978.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Church, Dover, NH. on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 11:00AM by Rev. Paul Gregoire, Pastor of the Church.
Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Charles Cemetery, Dover, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
