Tilton---Patricia “Pat” H. Chapman, 70, of 18 Westwood Drive, Tilton, and a former longtime Laconia resident, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, Friday, April 6, 2007.

Pat was born April 13, 1937, in Laconia, the daughter of Alfred and Irene (Krause) Webber. She graduated from Laconia High School in 1955 and had lived in Laconia until 2002 before moving to a new home in Tilton, designed and constructed by Carl and her family.

Pat was employed as a secretary at Gilford High School for 20 years retiring in 2004. She was a member of the Evangelical Baptist Church of Laconia. Pat was deeply loved by her family. She was an excellent cook, gardener and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Carl A. Chapman of Tilton; a son and daughter-in-law Timothy C. and Sharon Chapman of Belmont; 2 daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Bill Shane of Cumberland, Maine, and Diane and James Gordon of Concord, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren John Chapman, Mark Chapman, Brian Chapman, Jordan Shane, Zachary Shane, Casey Gordon, Nathaniel Gordon, Dana Gordon and Chloe Gordon; 2 brothers Thomas Watson and James Watson both of Conn.; 3 sisters Grace Roy of Laconia, Marjorie Lambert of Tilton and Irene Watson of Conn.; and several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007, from 5-7 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the Evangelical Baptist Church, 12 Veterans Square, Laconia, with a reception to follow at the Chapman home, 18 Westwood Drive, Tilton.

Burial will be later this spring in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford.
