Laconia------Diane Dunleavy, 65, of 84 Belknap Street, died at her home on Thursday, April 26, 2007 surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Diane was born June 1, 1941 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of the late Leon W. and Annette (Letourneau) Guyer.
Diane was a life long resident of Laconia/Gilford. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School as Valedictorian in 1959 and from Becker Jr. College, Worcester, MA in 1961.
Diane was employed at Met Life. Later she was employed as a medical transcriptionist at the Lakes Region General Hospital for a number of years and later at Orthopedic Professional Association for over twenty-five years, retiring in 2006.
Diane was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She was a member and former secretary of the Opechee Park Association and was a former member of the Sachems Boosters Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed camping in Maine.
Diane is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Patrick J. Dunleavy; three sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy C. and Laurie Dunleavy, Kevin P. and Jennifer Dunleavy and John S. and Kerri Dunleavy, all of Laconia; five grandchildren, Nakia, Molly, Norah, Caitlin and Audrey all of Laconia and a brother, Stephen W. Guyer, and his wife, Deb, of Gilford and their children, Matt and Alyssa.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 2:00-4:00PM and from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 9:30AM by Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church.
Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
