Gilmanton Iron Works-----Harold C. Perkins, 77, of 140 Perkins Road, died at the Concord Hospice House, Concord on Sunday, April 22, 2007.
Mr. Perkins was born January 5, 1930 at the sheep ranch (now the Cardinal’s) in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH. the son Walter and Eva (Glines) Perkins.
Mr. Perkins was a life long resident of Gilmanton Iron Works and was a logger for several years. He later was employed by Nutter Construction as a bulldozer operator for twenty-five years and later was employed by the Town of Gilmanton.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Rachel (Goupil) Perkins; three sons, Harold “Joe” Perkins and his wife, Julie, Daniel Perkins and his wife, Sara, and Paul Perkins and his wife, Ellen, all of Gilmanton Iron Works, NH; a daughter, Roseanna Saley, of St. Petersburg, Florida; nine grandchildren, Thomas Hillsgrove, Jr., Amy Hillsgrove, Timothy Saley, Tara Perkins, Patrick Perkins, Christopher Perkins, Monica Perkins, Lauren Perkins and Stephen Perkins; a great grandchild, Thomas Hillsgrove III; a sister, Ethel Perkins, of Concord and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence and Leon and by two sisters, Alice and Doris.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 10:30AM at the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilmanton Iron Works, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
