Belmont, NH----Descomb “Don” T. Stewart, 92, of 37 Magnolia Lane died at the Pine Rock Manor, Warner, NH on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Mr. Stewart was the widower of Margaret ‘Betty” R. (McLucas) Stewart who died in 2003.
Mr. Stewart was born on September 30, 1914 in Melrose, MA, the son of Charles and Lulu (Tozier) Stewart. He graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH in 1936 and served in the U. S. Coast Guard during WW II. He raised his family in Wakefield, MA before retiring to Moultonboro, NH. He was employed as the Director of Publications at Northeastern University.
Mr. Stewart was a member of the Kiwanis Club and also the West Side Social Club in Wakefield, MA. He enjoyed his camp in Moultonboro on Lake Winnipesaukee and enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling and tennis.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela J. Stewart, of Brighton, MA and Janice L. Stewart-Hibbard of Webster, NH; two grandchildren, Benjamin Hibbard and Rebecca Hibbard, both of Webster.
There will be no calling hours.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 11:00AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
Burial will follow at 1:30PM in the family lot in Pine Hill Cemetery, 131 Central Avenue, Dover, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 204 Highland Avenue, Salem, Massachusetts 01970 or Alliance for Animals, 232 Silver Street, So. Boston, Massachusetts 02127.
