Gilford-----Mrs. Floris "Bunny" E. E.C. Bisson, 88, of 111 Country Club Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Monday, August 11, 2003. Mrs. Bisson was the widow of Freeman Bisson who died in 1978.
Mrs. Bisson was born April 1, 1915 in Plymouth, NH, the daughter of Norman H. and Helen (Estes) Chamberlain. She attended local schools in Belmont, NH and attended the Post Graduate School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois.
Mrs. Bisson lived in Laconia for a number of years before moving to Gilford in 1978. Over the years, she was employed at the Belknap County Nursing Home, the Franklin Dress Shop, Laconia Shoe and at Happy Landing Motel & Cottages. She retired in 1987. She was a member of the Laconia Rod & Gun Club. She was an avid dancer and loved country western music. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed her cats and her chickens.
Survivors include a son, Harold Bisson and his wife, Cheri, of Bemont, NH; four daughters, Frances R. Bossey and her husband, Donald of Laconia, Anita M. Parent of Portland, Oregon, Raylene M. Recce of Pittsfield, NH and Christine P. Hawthorne of New Hampton, NH; 24 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren and two nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, Francis Parent, and by a sister, Violet Fagan.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow calling hours on Wednesday at 11:00AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH.
Burial will be held at a later date in the family lot at Bean Cemetery, Moultonboro, NH.
