Laconia-------Mr. Lawrence K. Drake, 75, of 22 Brigham Street, died at his home on Wednesday, August 20, 2003. He was the widower of Theresa (Valliere) Drake who died in 1991.
Mr. Drake was born June 2, 1928 in Laconia, NH, the son of Leroy & Dorothy (Lindsay) Drake and was a life long resident of Laconia.
Mr. Drake had been employed by the Laconia School District since 1965, retiring in 1993.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry W. and Rosemary Drake, David D. and Deborah Drake and Gary A. and Stephanie Drake; two daughters, Linda L. and her husband, Stephen Kimball, and Holly A. Welch; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Clara & Oliver Durrette; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his four brothers, Louis, Lester, Alfred and Ebon.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at 10:00AM at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
