Laconia-----Roger H. Burnham, 82, of 175 Blueberry Lane, died at the Genesis Eldercare Network-Laconia Center on Sunday, August 15, 2004.
Mr. Burnham was born July 8, 1922 in Concord, MA, the son of Harry and Grace (Hull) Burnham. Mr. Burham graduated from Virginia Military Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering and served in the U. S. Army during WWII.
Mr. Burnham lived in Simsbury, CT for many years and was employed at Combustion Engineering in Windsor, CT for thirty-eight years, retiring in July, 1985. In July, 2004, Mr. Burnham moved to Laconia, NH from Dover, NH where he had previously resided for seven years.
Mr. Burnham was a member of the Charles A. Welch Lodge A.F. & A.M. Lodge, in Maynard, MA for over fifty years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and avid animal lover.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Ashba, of Raleigh, N.C., Diane Atherton of Derry, NH and Karen Burnham of Granby, CT; four grandchildren, Traci Rice, Meghan Siegler, Brian Atherton and Greggory Robinson; one great grandchild, Adison Jane Rice; and a sister, Dorothy Burnham Lissner of Clearwater, Florida. He was predeceased by his wife of forty-seven years, Jean (Davis) Burnham.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 1:00PM at the family lot in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard, MA.
