Laconia-----Arthur S. Neal, 65, of 60 Valley Street, Lakeport, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Friday, August 13, 2004.
Mr. Neal was born September 24, 1938 in Laconia, NH, the son of the late Arthur M. and Florence I (Penniman) Neal. He was a life long resident of Laconia and worked at the Coca-Cola Food Service for over 46 years.
Mr. Neal enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling. During his illness he was an inspiration to his family and to the hospital personnel.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Dororthy (MacLeod) Neal, of Lakeport; a son Douglas and his wife Tracy Neal of Meredith; 3 daughters Patricia and her husband Steven Morin of Gilmanton Iron Works, Suzanne and her husband Guillermo Sepulveda of Nashua and Wendelyn and her husband Jerry Haskell of Belmont; 11 grandchildren Jessica and Jacob Neal, Andrew and Brett Morin, Mykel and Craig Obrenovich, Kaitlin and Matthew Sepulveda, Ashlea, Allyson and Aymme Haskell; a brother and his wife Joseph R. Neal and Mary (Boucher) Neal of Loudon; two brother-in-laws Carlton MacLeod and John MacLeod and 3 sister-in-laws Margaret (MacLeod) Normandin, Marcileen (MacLeod) Champagne and Carole (MacLeod) Palmer. Beside his parents he was predeceased by a granddaughter Amanda Haskell in 1989.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 from 6:00-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street Laconia, NH.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Bayside Cemetery, Laconia. The Rev. Earl Miller, Pastor of the Center Harbor Congregational Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association of NH, 9 Cedarwood Dr. Unit 12, Bedford, NH 03110.
