Melvin Village, NH---Diana "Dani" L. Truman, 60, of Melvin Village, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH on Sunday, August 22, 2004 from complications due to a stroke. She was married to William H.M. Truman who died Saturday, August 21, 2004.
Mrs. Truman was born December 8, 1943 in Fort Smith, AR, the daughter of Albert and Iris (Cook) Lewis. Mrs. Truman graduated from W. Treper Clarke High School, Long Island, NY in 1961 and graduated from St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY in 1965. She was the former co-owner of the Plant Petaler Florist in Laconia, NH. She was a world traveler as well as an avid artist and her lifetime hobby was home renovation and interior decorating. She was a breast cancer survivor, a member of the Art League of Ocean Reef, FL and a member of the Bok Tower Historical Society in Lake Wales, FL.
Survivors include her three daughters, Jennifer B. Truman of Gilford, NH; Nicole D.T. Harding and her husband, Jeffrey, of Meredith, NH and Melanie B. Truman of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Madeline Truman of Orlando, FL and Eleanor Harding and Melanie Harding, both of Meredith, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Frances Lewis of Essex Jct., VT; two nephews, Nathaniel Lewis of Essex Jct., VT and Jonathan Lewis and his wife Alison of Cambridge, MA and a niece, Amanda Lewis and her husband Nicholas Feat of Portland, OR.
Calling Hours for Mr. & Mrs. Truman will be held on Friday, August 27, 2004 from 6:00-9:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service for Mr. & Mrs. Truman will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 11:00AM at the Laconia Congregational Church, 18 Veterans Square, Laconia, NH.
