Gilford----Rita M. Marcotte, 67, of 23 Liscomb Circle, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Monday, August 1, 2005.
Mrs. Marcotte was born October 5, 1937 in Manchester, NH, the daughter of Jules and Lillian (Duval) Baril. She lived most of her life in Manchester before moving to Gilford in 1998.
Mrs. Marcotte was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed camping and visiting the ocean.
Survivors include her husband of forty-seven years, Marcel R. Marcotte, of Gilford; two sons, Anthony Marcotte of Concord and Thomas Marcotte of Manchester; three daughters, Elaine Allard of Goffstown, Estelle Marcotte of Florida and Diane Kolesar of Manchester; several grandchildren; six sisters, Clair Stratton of Manchester, Irene Croteau of Allenstown, Yvette Gelinas of Allenstown, Pauline Lemay of Florida, Susan Leclair of Allenstown and Annette Gauthier of Berlin and many nephews and nieces.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2005 from 7:00-9:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Whipple Avenue entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 291Union Avenue, Laconia on Friday, August 5, 2005 at 10:00AM by Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the Church.
Burial will be held at a later date at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central New England Chapter, 101 First Avenue Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
