Laconia-----Edward F. Girard, Jr., 52, of 7 Church Street, died at his home.
Mr. Girard was born October 14, 1953 in Haverhill, MA, the son of Edward F. and Shirley M. (Hamel) Girard. He was raised and educated in Plaistow, NH and lived in Manchester for several years before moving to Laconia in 1999.
Mr. Girard was a welder and was employed at various machine shops in the Laconia and the Plaistow area. He was recently employed at Lewis & Saunders in Laconia.
Survivors include a son, Derek Burrill, of Haverhill, MA; two grandchildren, Marcus Girard and Taylor Burrill; his mother, Shirley Smith, of Merrimac, MA; his stepfather, Milton Smith; two brothers, Arthur Girard, and his wife, Jean, and Dana Smith; a sister, Cheryl Manning, and her husband, Brian; a cousin, Larry Dansereau, and his wife, Veronica, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Girard, and by a son, Sean Girard.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 11:00AM at the Fellowship Bible Church, 48 Rod & Gun Club Road, Chester, NH. Pastor Rick Francis, Pastor of the church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Rte 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110.
