Gilford-----Shirley F. Morrow, 78, of 39 Oxbow Lane, died at the Concord Hospital, on Wednesday, August 16, 2006.
Mrs. Morrow was born July 3, 1928 in North Fryeburg, Maine, the daughter of Leland and Sarah (Thurston) Farrington. She lived in the Fryeburg, Maine/Conway, NH area for several years before moving to Manchester, NH. In 1963 she moved to Gilford where she was a first grade teacher at the Gilford Elementary School for twelve years. She retired in 1988.
Mrs. Morrow was a member of the Gilford Community Church. She enjoyed painting, reading, piano, baking and her flower garden.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Richard L. Morrow, of Gilford, NH; three sons, Richard Morrow of Lakewood, Colorado, David Morrow of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and William Morrow of Haddam, Connecticut; two daughters, Lee Morrow, of Derry, NH and Susan Ginsberg of Lexington, MA; fourteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne Greeno, in 1999 and by a brother Hugh Farrington.
There will be no calling hours.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at the family lot in Conway Village Cemetery, Conway, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one’s favorite charity.
