Tilton-----Robert J. Hebert, 71, of 36 White Rock Circle, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon on Tuesday, August 21, 2007.
Mr. Hebert was born February 5, 1936 in Methuen, Mass., the son of Arthur and Eva (Vaillancourt) Hebert. He was a graduate of Salem (NH) High School and served in the U. S. Army. He lived for many years in Laconia, N. H. before moving to Derry, N. H. where he lived for twelve years. In 1998, he moved to Tilton, N. H. He was employed at New Hampshire Ballbearing for twenty years and was employed at Lawrence Pump in Lawrence, Mass., retiring in 1998.
Mr. Hebert was a member of the Lakes Region Management Club and was an avid fan of Laconia High School Football, the Red Sox and the Patriots. He loved to golf.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Lucy A. (Fortier) Hebert, of Tilton, N. H.; three sons, Gregory J. Hebert of Belmont, N. H., Stephen W. Hebert of Tilton, N. H. and Mark D. Hebert of Laconia, N. H.; two daughters, Sherri Hebert of Belmont, N. H. and Melissa Jenkins of Laconia, N. H.; his Godchild, David Jenkins, of Laconia, N.H.; six grandchildren, Karen Beaupre, Mark Hebert, Jr., Erik Hebert, Brian Hebert, Brendon Hebert and Robert Jenkins; three great grandchildren, Bradley Hebert, Jasmine Lemay and Amber Hebert; two brothers, Donald Hebert of Warner, N. H. and Roland Hebert of Salem, N. H.; a sister, Irene Krystynak, of Chelmsford, Mass. and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Armand Hebert.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 from 5:00-7:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 7:00PM also at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s own choice.
