Northfield-----Judith “Judy” C. Velmure, 57, of 25 Spring Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 after a courageous five-year battle with breast cancer.
Judy was born March 2, 1950 in Everett, Mass., the daughter of William J. and Virginia M. (Pierce) Velmure.
Judy lived in the Lakes Region for twelve years coming from New York. She was employed at Bark and Bradley for a number of years.
Judy was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Laconia, NH. She was an artist and enjoyed painting, decorating and crafts. She loved animals and enjoyed antiquing.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Amanda Brook of Natick, Mass.; a daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Dana Rudzinski, of Northfield; her mother, Virginia Velmure, of Gilford; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Wood, of Andover, Mass.; a niece, Christina Hooper, of Norwood, Mass.; two nephews, Robert Wood of Georgia and Karl Stuckenberg of California and a very good friend, Karen Livangood, of Groton, Mass. She was predeceased by a brother, Billy Velmure, and by her father, William J. Velmure, Sr.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 10, 2007 from 10:00-Noon at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Funeral Service will follow at Noon at St. James Episcopal Church, North Main Street, Laconia, NH.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
