Laconia-----Robert “Bert” A. Decormier, 70, of 45 Summer Street, died at his home on Monday, August 3, 2009.

Mr. Decormier was born August 10, 1938 in Laconia, the son of Ida M. (Martel) and Oliver J. Decormier, Sr. He was a lifetime resident of Laconia and had served in the U. S. Army.

Mr. Decormier had been employed at Verizon for thirty-three years.

Mr. Decormier was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was involved with the Laconia Little League. He enjoyed woodworking.

Mr. Decormier is survived by his wife, Claire (Tardif) Decormier, of Laconia; a son, Mark Decormier, of Laconia; two daughters, Debra Smith and her husband, Raymond, of Laconia and Susan Turcotte of Gilford; five grandchildren, Curtis Albert, Heather Albert, Andrew Decormier, Alexis Turcotte and Kelsea Turcotte; one great grandchild, Coen Albert; two brothers, Oliver ‘”Sonny” Decormier, Jr. and his wife, Carole, and Roger Decormier and his wife, Jackie, and several nephews and nieces.

According to Mr. Decormier’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial was held in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
