Tilton——-Mrs. Elizabeth J. Gordon, 87, of 1 Dalton Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2002 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia. She was the widow of Lionel M. Gordon who died in 1992.
Mrs. Gordon was born April 10, 1915 in Thetford, Vermont, the daughter of Thomas B. and Vivian M. (Webber) Johnson. She resided in Lakeport, NH for a number of years before moving to Tilton in 1975.
Mrs. Gordon was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Laconia. She enjoyed cooking and plants.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda V. Gordon of Tilton, NH and Brenda N. Lewis of Newbury, Ohio; one stepson, Lionel M. Gordon, Jr.; grandchildren; great grandchildren; one sister, Mae Stevens of Chelsea, Vermont and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, William Johnson and by a sister, Bertha Preston.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2002 from 6-8 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2002 at 1:00 PM at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 115 Court Street, Laconia. Pastor Roy Ludwig, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH
