Alexandria, NH----Richard L. Baston, 67, of 302 McMurphy Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, on Monday, December 2, 2002.
Mr. Baston was born May 18, 1935 in Sanford, Maine, the son of Gerald B. & Evelyn (Hall) Baston.
Mr. Baston worked for the N. H. Electric Cooperative, Inc. for over 14 years, retiring in 2001. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and skiing.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa J. (Bleau) Baston of Alexandria, NH; a son, Bryce A. Baston of Sanford, Maine; three daughters, Stephyne Reid of Waterboro, Maine, Stacey Baston of Concord, NH and Allison Baston of Alexandria, NH; three grandchildren, Heath Reid of Waterboro, Maine, Rebecca Baston and Nicholas Baston, both of Sanford, Maine; two great grandchildren; one brother, Roger "Tom" Baston, of Sanford, Maine; a sister, Cynthia Lawrence, of Sanford, Maine; and many nephews and nieces.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 11:00 AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. Burial will be at a later date in the family lot in Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford, Maine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Baston's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
