Belmont---------Michael W. Hibbard, 57, of 60 Horseshoe Drive, died at his home on Sunday, December 26, 2004.
Mr. Hibbard was born October 10, 1947 in Laconia, NH, the son of the late Gordon M. & Pearl V. (Peavey) Hibbard.
Mr. Hibbard was an E6 Staff Sergeant in the US Army and retired in 1986 after twenty years of service. He was stationed in Germany, Alaska, Viet Nam, Texas and Pennsylvania before moving back to the Lakes Region where he was a home health care provider for six years working for the Laconia State School, Laconia Easter Seals, Laconia Community Connections and the New Hampshire Hospital.
Mr. Hibbard spent many enjoyable times with his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Gilcrest) Hibbard; two sons, Shaun M. Hibbard, Ryan M. Hibbard; two daughters, Michele L. Hibbard and Krystal G. Hibbard; two brothers, Bruce Hibbard and David Hibbard; six sisters, Helen Wells, June Clough, Joan Hibbard, Linda Fedorczuk, Susan VandeMeulebroecke and Sandra A. Barrett; two grandchildren, Thomas M. Drouin and Carly M. Drouin; many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father in 1985, by his mother in 1987 and by a son, Christopher M. Hibbard, in 1975.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 8:00PM also at the Funeral Home.
Spring Burial will be in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
