Concord-----Irene May Lamere, 83, of 239 Pleasant Street and formerly of 91 Hoadley Road, Belmont, NH died at the Pleasant View Center-Genesis Eldercare,Concord on Wednesday, December 29, 2004.
Mrs. Lamere was born November 14, 1921 in Loudon, NH, the daughter of Edwin E. and Mary C. (Gunderson) Storrs.
Mrs. Lamere had been a resident of Belmont since 1946.
She was employed at Cormier Hosiery for many years and for fifteen years was employed at the Laconia Hospital. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Survivors include a son, Robert ?Bob? J. Lamere, of Canterbury, NH; four grandchildren, Robert A. Lamere of Barnstead, NH, Russell E. Lamere of Mesa, Arizona, Diane M. Lamere-Wallace of Phippsburg, Maine and Peter S. Lamere, Pittsfield, NH; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a sister, Dorothy L. Pelletier, of Tilton, NH and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Lamere, in 2001.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2005 at 1:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
Spring burial will be held in the family lot at Loudon Cemetery, Loudon, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1130, Fairfax, VA 22038 or to the Belmont Fire Department, PO Box 837, Belmont, NH 03220.
