Gilmanton-----Dannie C. Gullage, 58, of 319 NH Rte 140, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, on Monday, December 12, 2005.
Big Dan was born May 17, 1947 in Concord, NH, the son of Thomas and Faith (Johnson) Gullage. He lived in Concord until moving to Gilmanton twenty-nine years ago.
Big Dan was employed at Dakota Systems for the last four years. Prior to that he was employed at Pitco Frialator, Lewis & Saunders, Amescor and the Merrimack County House of Corrections. Big Dan was a volunteer for the Gilmanton Fire Department, a member of the Gilmanton Snowmobile Association and the Belknap Bowmen Club and a Little League Coach in Gilmanton. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, NASCAR, camping and most of all being with his family.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, Linda (Willard) Gullage, of Gilmanton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dannie A. Gullage and Tabatha Higson, of Gilmanton; John R. and Sharon Gullage of Rochester; a daughter and son-in-law, Jody L. and Kevin Farwell of Laconia; six grandchildren, Courtney, D.J., Kaitlyn, Kevin, River and Ethan; his father, Thomas Gullage, of Concord; a brother, Thomas S. Gullage, of Northfield; two sisters, Darlene Matchem of North Carolina and Cynthia Osborne of Concord; several nephews and nieces and his Godfather, Harold Smith, of Hudson. He was predeceased by his mother, Faith Gullage, in 1998.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 6:00-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Gilmanton Community Church, Gilmanton Corner. Rev. Linda Bolton, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Beech Grove Cemetery, Gilmanton, NH.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to one’s own favorite children’s charity.
