Muriel C. Berry Laconia---Muriel C. Berry, 73, formerly of 86 Jefferson Street, Lakeport, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Thursday, December 20, 2007. Mrs. Berry was born May 28, 1934 in Littleton, N. H., the daughter of Wilson M. and Marion (Gale) Lewis. She lived in Littleton for many years and was a graduate of Plymouth Teacher’s College. She moved to Laconia in 1968. Mrs. Berry was as a Daycare Teacher for ten years and was also employed as a cook and dietary aide at the St. Francis Home for many years. Mrs. Berry was a long time active member of the Laconia Congregational Church and served on several committees. She was a long time Hospice volunteer. She enjoyed the out of doors and enjoyed many years of skiing with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Gale Cullen of Belmont and Ellen Cullen of Malden, Mass.; a son, Peter Cullen, of Laconia; a former daughter-in-law, Tina Cullen, of Laconia; two grandchildren, Matthew Cullen and Craig Cullen, both of Laconia; seven stepchildren; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, George Lewis, of Concord; two nephews, Jeffrey Lewis and Gregory Lewis and several cousins. Mrs. Berry was predeceased by her husband, Edson C. Berry, in 2002. There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 2:00PM at the Laconia Congregational Church, 18 Veterans Square, Laconia, N. H. Rev. Dr. Warren Bouton, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, N.H. Office, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, N. H. 03101. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. is in charge of the arrangements. |
