Luigi "Louis" Guidi

Laconia, NH-----Luigi "Louis" Guidi, 90, of the Bishop Brady Apartments died on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at the St. Francis Home.

Mr. Guidi was born September 6, 1912 in Canada, the son of Carlo and Seraphina (Angeloni) Guidi.

Mr. Guidi lived in East Boston, MA before moving to the Lakes Region sixty years ago. He worked for Carpenter & Paterson Inc. for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1977.

Mr. Guidi was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 25 yrs. He was an avid bowler, gardener, and Red Sox Fan.

Survivors include his wife, Genevieve (Hartnett) Guidi of Laconia, NH; one grandson, a sister, Anna Nigro of Tampa, Florida; four nephews, Arthur Guidi, Jr. of Florida, Paul Guidi, John Nigro and Gary Guidi, all of Massachusetts; and two niece4s, Glorianne Lowe of Florida and Saundra Guidi-Skiesgelas of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by two sons, Richard Guidi in 1978 and James Guidi in 1993; and by a brother, Arthur Guidi, Sr.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 21, 2003, from 9:30-11:30AM using the Whipple Avenue entrance of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, at 11:30AM following the calling hours. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the Chu4rch, will officiate.

Burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-9376 or to the St. Francis Home, 406 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
