Franklin-----Janice L. Earle, 62, of Franklin, died at the Franklin Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 23, 2005.
Mrs. Earle was born September 24, 1942 in Houlton, Maine, the daughter of Elwood T. and Jessie ( Sowers) Miller. She was a long time resident of Maidstone, VT until moving to Franklin six weeks ago to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Earle and her husband owned and operated several small grocery stores over the years, including the Winnisquam Market in Winnisquam, NH and the Trading Post in Pittsburg, NH. She loved her cat, Smokey-Ralph, and spent a lot of time doing jigsaw puzzles. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her new great granddaughter, Lily Marie Tusi. She was very proud of her grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda L. and Herman Hafford, of Northfield, NH, Laurie M. and Mark Stockbridge of Franklin, NH and Joy E. and Mark Hebert of Pittsburg, NH; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Robert, Teasia, Steven, Jason, Jillian, Samantha and Beth; one great-granddaughter, Lily; three step grandchildren and one step great-grandson and a brother, Terry L. Miller, of Loudon, NH. She was predeceased by her husband of over thirty years, Charles G. Earle, Jr., on January 28, 2004.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
Donations in memory of Janice may be made to the Cancer Wing at Weeks Medical Center, 173 Middle Street, Lancaster, NH 03584 in honor of her late husband, Charles.
