Laconia-----Dorothy "Dolly" Rolfe Dickey, 85, of 30 County Drive and formerly of 25 Union Avenue, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Sunday, February 27, 2005.
Mrs. Dickey was born October 17, 1919 in Rochester, NH, the daughter of Arthur H. and Stella M. (Woods) Noyes. She lived in Franklin, NH for several years, graduating from Franklin High School in 1938. During the 1940's, she was employed at the Tilton Leather Shop. She later moved to Laconia and was employed at Scott & Williams for many years. She also worked at the doll factory where she sewed doll clothes. Mrs. Dickey enjoyed reading, sewing and fishing and loved to draw. Mrs. Dickey was a wonderful mother to her three children and will be missed so much.
Mrs. Dickey was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.
Survivors include two sons, H. Wayne Dickey of Woodsville, NH and Harris Lee Dickey of Rockyhill, CT; a daughter, Joyce L. Copp-Jewell of Laconia; three grandchildren Roger Copp, Jennifer Dickey and Paul Dickey; one great granddaughter Alexandria Copp; a brother, Ralph Noyes, of Laconia and several nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harvey H. Dickey, on July 2, 1990, by a granddaughter, Joanne Bourgoine; by a brother, Donald Noyes and by three sisters, Esther Marcoux, Audrey Richardson and Elsie Howe.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2005 from 11:00AM to 12:30PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, NH.
Following the Calling Hours, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00PM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH. Rev. Gary Kosmowski, pastor of the church, will celebrate.
Spring burial will be in the family lot in St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, NH
