Gilford, NH---Frank E. Gallagher, 84, formerly of 663 Cherry Valley Road, Gilford, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, NH, Monday, February 7, 2005.
Mr. Gallagher was born July 27, 1920 in Salem, MA the son of Frank A. and Mary (Boyle) Gallagher.
Mr. Gallagher served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He had lived most of his life in Salem, MA moving to Gilford in 1979 from Meredith, NH.
Mr. Gallagher owned and operated Gallagher Engineering in Salem, MA for many years. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Barbara (Bradley) Gallagher of Laconia, NH; 2 sons Michael Gallagher of Salem, MA and Mark Gallagher of Gilford; 2 daughters Barbara Lyons of Glen Allen, VA and Anne Gallagher of Laconia; 4 grandchildren Mikael Morancy of Gilford, Melissa Morancy of Laconia, Lauren Smith of Duxbury, MA and Kathleen Colbert of Richmond, VA.
Private family calling hours will be held.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. Laconia on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 10AM. The Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps, pastor of the church, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, NH Chapter, 10 Ferry Street Suite 427B, Concord, NH 03301.
