Gilford-----Deane H. Brown, 76, formerly of 9 Sargent Place, died at the Presidential Oaks in Concord on Wednesday, February 21, 2007. 

Mr. Brown was born July 21, 1930 in Rowe, Massachusetts, the son of Edwin H. and Katie (Reed) Brown.       

Mr. Brown lived in Loudon for several years before moving to Gilford three years ago.  He was employed at Sprague Electric for over twenty years.

Mr. Brown enjoyed sports and loved his garden.

Survivors include his wife, Alice “Sue” (Gilbert) Brown of Gilford; a daughter, Donna Vallieres, of North Adams, MA; seven grandchildren, Lee Bareschi, Katie Trala, Mandy Thirrien, Kyle Vallieres, and Joyce Cote, all of North Adams, MA and Jason Vallieres and Jessica Vallieres both of Florida; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Brown of Rowe, MA and Stanley Brown of Arizona and several nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by his son, Henry Brown, in 2005; two brothers, Everett Brown and Robert Brown and a sister, Christine Gorzakoski.  

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Loudon Cemetery, Loudon, NH.
