Marjorie E. Newlen

Belmont-----Marjorie E. Newlen, 72, of 18 Kayla Drive, Belmont died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Sunday, February 28, 2010. She was the widow of Kevin E. Newlen who died in 2004.

Mrs. Newlen was born February 12, 1938 in Laconia, N.H. the daughter of Harry D. and Ethel M. (Dalton) Bean. She was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region.

Survivors include her mother, Ethel M. Bean, of Laconia; two sons, Kurt D. Gould of Gilford and Kevin D. Newlen of Laconia; three daughters, Karen D. Newlen of Calif., Kris D. Sylvester of Calif. and Kelly D. Newlen of Belmont; three grandchildren, Colleen F. Gould of Gilford, Troy S. Sylvester and Marissa L. Sylvester, both of Calif., a brother, Harry A. Bean, of Gilford; a sister, Patricia Conway, of Plymouth and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her father and by a grandchild, Jennifer Gould.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Burial will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
