Gilmanton-----Mrs. Leona N. McClary, 97, formerly of Rt. 140 Gilmanton, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home, Laconia Sunday January 12, 2003. She was the widow of Frank L. McClary who died in 1952.
Mrs. McClary was born April 5, 1905 in Parsonfield, Maine the daughter of Fred A. and Carrie (Dutch) Nutter. She moved to Gilmanton in 1918 from Loudon.
Mrs. McClary had been employed at the Laconia Needle Company for 15 years retiring in 1970.
Survivors include a daughter Marion M. Keith of Northfield; 3 sons George F.A. McClary, Harold "Steve" J. McClary and Frank "Joe" L. McClary, Jr. all of Gilmanton; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
There are no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 10:00 AM at the family lot at Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton, NH.
The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia is in charge of the arrangements.
