Gilford------Mrs. Jean N. Beard, 60, of 26 Chipmunk Circle, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon on Wednesday, January 7, 2004.
Mrs. Beard was born April 17, 1943 in Plymouth, NH, the daughter of Harold and Norma (Lougee) Huckins. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School and Plymouth State College.
Mrs. Beard had been a resident of Gilford since 1979 and was a member of the Gilford Community Church.
Mrs. Beard was an elementary school teacher and reading specialist at Woodland Heights School, Laconia where she taught for the last 21 years.
Survivors include her husband, Alan C. Beard, of Gilford, NH; three brothers, Stanley Huckins and Steven Huckins both of Plymouth, NH and Robert Huckins of Whitefield, NH; a sister, Hilda Duncan of Plymouth and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents and by a son, Kenneth L. Rollock, who died in 1998.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 1:00 PM.
Rev. Michael Graham, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.
Spring burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery.
