Laconia-----Mrs. Virginia M. Vining, 86, of 96 Summer Street, died at her home on Monday, January 26, 2004. She was the widow of Richard H. Vining who died in 1999.
Mrs. Vining was born July 16, 1917 in Springfield, MA. She moved from Springfield, MA to Laconia, NH in 1950. She worked at Scott & Williams for twenty-five years and for Vernitron for three years retiring in 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley, and her husband, Kirk Cassavaugh, Sr. of Belmont, NH; two grandchildren, Kirk Cassavaugh, Jr. of Palm Bay, Florida and Cindy Laurent and her fiancé, Lenny Leonard, of Belmont, NH; seven great grandchildren, Kirk Cassavaugh, III, Dylan Cassavaugh, Evan Cassavaugh, Elicia Cassavaugh, Eowyn Cassavaugh, Chad Laurent and Cale Laurent; one great great grandchild, Kameron Cassavaugh; a sister, Norma Meyer, of Vancouver, Washington; a stepbrother, Donald Russell and his wife, Marilyn, of Williamstown, New York; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Nason Russell and Mildred (Boyce) Russell Saunders.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH. The date and time will be announced at a later date.
