Laconia----- William H. Forbes, Jr., 59, of 130 Endicott Street, North, Unit 208, died at the Mass. General Hospital, Boston, MA. Saturday, January 10, 2004 after a long illness.
Mr. Forbes was born October 19, 1944 in Boston, MA. son of William H. and Cora Ellen (Lawton) Forbes. He had been a resident of the Lakes Region since 1967 coming from Boston.
Mr. Forbes was a real estate developer in the Lakes Region for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed a brisk political discussion with his luncheon buddies.
Survivors include his wife Teresa (Mitchell) Forbes of Laconia a son Dirk Nelson Nadon of Keene; a daughter Kristi Ann and her husband John Nesteruk of Hill; 3 grandchildren Alec and Johnny Nesteruk of Hill and Sadie Nadon of Keene; 2 brothers Jeffrey L. Forbes of Delray Beach, Fla. and Richard M. Forbes of Needham, MA; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents and his first wife Margaret "Peggy" D. Forbes who died January 10, 1999.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the Laconia Congregational Church, 18 Veterans Square, Laconia, NH. Spring burial will be in Union Cemetery, Laconia.
