Laconia, NH---Sally Elizabeth Merchant, 83, died January 17, 2004 at Genesis Eldercare Center, Laconia, NH.
She and her late husband resided in Reading before moving to Wolfeboro, NH where she worked many years at Blacks Gift Shop. They moved to Florida in the late 60's where she lived until her husband passed away and she moved to Tamworth, NH. She worked for many years at Bald Peak Golf Shop and spent her winters in Florida, but always came back to NH which she loved.
Sally loved to work for it let her do what she loved the most, which was to meet, help and talk to people. Besides loving to meet people, you would never see Sally without her dog.
She was the widow of the late Robert J. Merchant Sr. and sister of the late Helen Hughes.
Family members include a son, Robert J. Merchant, Jr., two grandsons, Robert J. Merchant III and John C. Merchant; five nieces and three nephews.
A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date.
