Alton Bay, NH-----Mrs. Shirley W. Poynter, 76, of 6 Donald Drive, died at the Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, on Saturday, January 31, 2004
Mrs. Poynter was born March 29, 1927 in Somerville, MA, the daughter of John R. & Bessie G. (Lake) Smith. She lived in Melrose, MA for several years before moving to New Hampshire twenty years ago.
Mrs. Poynter loved the country, animals and local politics.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Edwin F. Poynter of Alton Bay, NH; three cousins, Barbara M. Lake of Rockport, MA, Bruce C. Lake of Boston, MA and Charles D. Lake of Marion, MA; and by her dog, Robbie, Jr.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at the family lot at New Riverside Cemetery, Alton, NH.
