Laconia-----G. Gordon Steady, 71, of 37 Captain's Walk, died at his home on Thursday, January 15, 2004.
Mr. Steady was born March 10, 1932 in Laconia, NH, the son of Dr. Karl and Joyce (Gordon) Steady. He graduated from Laconia High School in 1950 and then served in U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. After his military service, he graduated from New England College in Henniker, Class of 1958. He lived in Londonderry, NH for many years where he was co-owner of Tel-Labs, retiring in 1987. He moved to Laconia in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Barbara (Taylor) Steady of Laconia, NH; two daughters, Karen Klaubert of Moultonboro, NH and KathyJo Beaudet of Londonderry, NH; four granddaughters, one great grandson and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Karl A. Steady, Jr who died in 1996 and by a sister, Jane S. Hood of Exeter, NH who died December 19, 2003.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2004 at 11:30 AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
Spring burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
