Laconia, NH-----Arthur R. Toole, 90, of 17 Nutmeg Circle, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Sunday, January 11, 2004.
Mr. Toole was born June 8, 1913 in Easthampton, MA the son of James A. and Elsie M. (Billington) Toole. He attended the University of Rhode Island and was a graduate of Bryant College.
Mr. Toole served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an accounting administrator at M. Lowenstein & Son in New York City for many years and lived in Mt. Kisco, New York. He retired to Cape Cod, Mass. in 1978 before moving to Laconia, NH in 2002. He enjoyed golfing and playing bridge.
Mr. Toole was a member of St. Christopher's Church in Chatham, MA.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Pickersgill) Toole, of Laconia; two daughters, Marcia Presher of Laconia, NH and Betsy Lincoln of Londonderry, NH; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five nieces and eight nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at 2:00PM. Rev. Jonathan MacKenzie, Rector of St. James Episcopal Church, will officiate.
Spring burial will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-2039.
