Laconia, NH-----Ellen B. Cole, 69, of 21 Ledges Drive, died at the Congregate Living Center, Taylor Community, on Tuesday, January 17, 2006. Mrs. Cole was the widow of William T. Cole, Jr. who died in 2004.
Mrs. Cole was born May 11, 1936 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of Maurice and Helen (Scudder) Bradley.
Mrs. Cole graduated from Duke University and was an elementary school teacher.
Mrs. Cole lived in Chelmsford, Mass from 1964 until 2004 when she moved to Laconia, NH. She was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Chelmsford for many years. Mrs. Cole loved her family and her grandchildren. She was an avid bridge player.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce W. and Lisa Cole, of Gilford and James B. and Kimberly Cole, of Rochester; a daughter, Suzanne Cole and Carol Sweeney, of Lawrence, MA; five grandchildren and a sister, Carolyn Wakefield, of Jupiter, Florida.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 242 Boston Road, Chelmsford, MA on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 2:00PM. Rev. Sharon G. W. Jones, pastor of the church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central New England Chapter, 101 First Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
