Laconia-----Richard “Gramps” Bushong, 69, of 260 CourtStreet, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Monday, January 9, 2006.
Mr. Bushong was born June 13, 1936 in Brighton, MA, the son of Jenny Bushong Rogers. Mr. Bushong lived in Merrimack, MA for several years before moving to Laconia twenty-six years ago. He was a self-employed as a contractor for forty years.
Mr. Bushong loved literature and was an extreme pack rat. He was a fun loving husband, Dad and Gramps.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Cleveland) Bushong, of Laconia; three sons, Glenn Bushong of Madbury, Gary Bushong of Laconia and Cory Bushong of Rochester; two daughters, Deb Shorter of Grafton and Nina Carrol of Laconia; thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one expected great grandchild; three brothers; one sister and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a son, Howard Bushong, and by a sister.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one’s own favorite charity.
