Laconia----Lafayette Robert Lahaye, 60, of 16 Fairview Street, Laconia, died at his home Sunday January 8, 2006. He was born June 16, 1945 in Lebanon, NH the son of Harry and Esther Lahaye. He was their 12th child. He had lived in the Lakes Region for the past 50 years. He was known as “Bobby” to his family and “Laffy” to all his friends in the community.
Lafayette truly enjoyed life and people. He had a special fondness for children and horses. He added joy and happiness to the lives of everyone who knew him, especially his long-time friends, Nancy and Gordon Dubois. He will be particularly missed by his special friends that cared for him. Lafayette enjoyed the good times he had visiting Isabelle and Roxie and all of his family.
Lafayette was a member and volunteered for many years at the Praise Assembly Of God Church of Tilton.
Survivors include brothers, William Lahaye of West Lebanon, Richard Lahaye of S.W. Harbor, Maine, Frank Lahaye of Canaan and Lewis Lahaye of White River Junction, VT; sisters, Isabelle Boisvert of Lebanon, Catherine Gillen of Wilder, VT and Roxie Smith of Chester, VT.; many nephews, nieces, cousins and an aunt. Beside his parents he was predeceased by a brother, John Lahaye and sisters, Irene Gillen, Carolyn Currier and Beverly Joslyn.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday January 16, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia. Spring burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Lebanon.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc. 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
