Gilford, NH------Roberta “Bobbie” Phillips, 73, of Gilford, NH, formerly of Hingham, MA, died Jan. 1, 2006.
Daughter of the late Robert S. and Olive A. Knapp, she was born in Quincy, MA. She lived in East Weymouth, MA, Albany, GA, Blytheville, AK, Alexandria and Pineville, LA, and Hingham, MA, before retiring to Gilford, NH, in 1986.
Bobbie had various places of employment including owning a cosmetic distributorship; being assistant controller of a department store; and being a full charge bookkeeper.
She had been a Sunday school teacher; an assistant den mother of a Cub Scout group; a grammar school room mother; and was very active in the Hingham Police Wives Association, holding several offices.
Her most important rewarding job was mothering three sons.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Bill Phillips of Gilford; son Michael and daughter–in-law Corinne of Lancaster, NH; son Stephen and his fiancée Michelle Watson of Attleboro, MA; daughter-in-law Dolores of Lincoln, ME and her recently deceased son Eric of Lincoln ME.; grandchildren Christopher of Braintree, MA; David, Timothy, and Kate of Lancaster, NH; Casey of Attleboro, MA; Russell, Joshua, Matthew, and Samuel of Lincoln, ME.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
There are no Funeral Services.
Burial will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, PO Box 60100, Boulder City, NV 89006.
