Meredith- Stephen D. Beaumont, 52, of 35 Eaton Ave. Meredith, died unexpectedly at his home on July 3, 2003. He was born in Boston, MA, Oct. 6, 1950, the son of Paul and Jane (Hurlin) Beaumont.
Steve was raised in Bedford, MA but lived for a time on Martha's Vineyard, Mass. and in Antrim, N.H. before moving to Meredith in 1980. He was an auto mechanic for over 20 years before becoming self employed as a landscaper and property caretaker among other jobs.
Steve enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hiking, stargazing, wildlife, animals and farming. He was a member of the Meredith Historical Society and was actively involved in building the farm museum. He loved children and was a foster parent for a couple of years. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild.
Steve leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Barbara (Paquette) Beaumont, of Meredith; two sons, Scott A. Beaumont, of Laconia and Nicholas S. Beaumont, of Meredith; a brother, John H. Beaumont, of Antrim, N.H.; a sister, Sarah J. Ryder, of Peterborough, N.H.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by both parents and by a sister, Marthe Abdel-Razzak, of Amman, Jordan.
There will be no calling hours
A memorial service will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Rt 25, Meredith, NH on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lakes Region United Way, 95 Water Street, Ste. 1, Laconia, NH 03246-3313 to fund programs for abused and neglected children and/or children with drug and alcohol problems, or to the United Ostomy Association, Inc., Irvine, CA.
