Lacanto, Florida----Eugene A. Jordan, 58, of 5212 West Shaker Place, and formerly of 60 Mechanic Street, Lakeport, NH died at his home on Sunday, July 20, 2003.
Mr. Jordan was born December 31, 1944 in Laconia, NH, the son of Archie E. & Cecilia M. (Landry) Jordan.
Mr. Jordan lived in Laconia most of his life before moving to Florida over a year ago. He attended local schools and graduated from Laconia High School in 1962 and from N. H. Technical Institute, Manchester, NH in 1964. He served in the U. S. Air Force for three years and was a member of the Army Reserve and Army National Guard in Keene & Manchester for ten years. He had been employed at the Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia as a C.N. A. for many years. He was a licensed electrician.
Survivors a daughter, Sarah Prothero of Manchester, NH; 3 grandchildren; two sisters, Carole A. Wells of Highland, Illinois and formerly of Belmont, NH and Janet M. Lafreniere of Manchester, NH; several nephews and nieces and a longtime companion, Wayne Weeks of Lacanto, Florida and formerly of Lakeport, NH. He was predeceased by his father, Archie Jordan, in 1994 and by his mother, Cecilia M. (Landry) Jordan in 1998 and by a brother-in-law, Howard Wells, who died in December 2002.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 10, 2003 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
