Gilford-----Mrs. Marie Dorothy Price, of 16 Lake Breeze Park and formerly of 283 Mechanic Street, Lakeport died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Thursday, July 10, 2003. She was the widow of William S. Price, Sr. who died in 1987.
Mrs. Price was born in Boston, MA, the daughter of Clayton and Dorothy (Devonshire) Adams. She lived in Dorchester, MA for several years before moving to New Hampshire where she lived 16 years in New Hampton, 15 years in Laconia and in Gilford for the past several years. Most recently she was a resident of the St. Francis Home in Laconia. While living in New Hampshire, she was employed at the Margate Resort and Scott & Williams.
Mrs. Price was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Lakeport.
Survivors include two sons, William S. Price, Jr., of New Hampton, NH and David C. Price of Belmont, NH; three daughters, Nancy Anne Lacerte of Manchester, NH, Debra M. McCrea of Laconia and Barbara L. O&Mac226;Connor of Belmont, NH; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; one brother, Paul Adams, of Port Charlotte, Florida a sister, Louise Quilty, of Whitman, MA; and several nephews and nieces.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, her stepmother, Doris Adams; a brother, Frank Adams, a grandson, Ryan McIntyre, and a son-in-law, Donald Lacerte.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2003 from 4:00-7:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 14, 2003 at 1:00PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Activities Fund, 406 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
